2008 ELECTIONS GUIDELINES
The Constitution & By-laws will be the primary document of reference and reconciliation of any election issue/ dispute regardless of what the ECOM publishes. The ECOM will oversee the elections process according to the following sections of the Constitution and By-laws of the LCA:

VOTERS
ELIGIBILITY:
1. You must be a registered voter in good standing and must be current with payment of $15 voter registration fee

You must be a Liberian citizen/national or a spouse of
a Liberian citizen/national who resides within DC Metro Area prior to

· a photo ID and a recent utility/service bill, lease agreement, or student ID from a Metro Area institution
CANDIDATES
ELIGIBILITY:
1. Candidates must be registered LCA member in
good standing and must be current with payment of dues, pledges and other
levied payments. (Uniform Rules & Regulations Governing Elections -
Requirements
1. Candidates must submit notarized Declaration of Intent Form with the required signatures and contact information (name, addresses, and telephone numbers ) of the listed registered members and their candidate registration fees (paid in cash or by check):
SIGNATURES
· President – 100 signatures
· All other candidates – 50 signatures
FEES
· President – $100
· Vice President - $75
· All other candidates – $50
a. Mention of at least 2 leadership roles in any organization
b. Mention of leadership role within the LCA within the last 12 months
