ELECTIONS UPDATE TO THE LIBERIAN COMMUNITY, WASHINGTON, D.C.
METRO AREA
Greetings! The Elections Commission is proud to announce that after significant delay in the elections due to the lack of interest from candidates and the community, we have received submission packages from two separate camps to compete for the community's leadership. This election is very significant to our community as it is symbolizes and mirrors the recovery of Liberians everywhere. It is no secret that the community association in the Washinton DC Metro Area has been handicapped by the lack of participation from all sectors of the community. This election gives the community a chance to be re-engaged and decide the way forward. The Elections Commission looks forward to working collaboratively with you and the candidates to ensure a highly participative, fair, unbiased, and fluid 2008 elections for the community.
Sincerely,
Isaac Vah Tukpah, Jr.
